Pwllheli Seconds 18 - Harlech 17

Pwllheli Seconds left it until the last minute to secure a tense late one point victory over the castle men in the quarter final of the Gwynedd cup held under the floodlights at Park Bodegroes Efailnewydd however it was Pwllheli Seconds who made the perfect start courtesy of an unconverted Huw Owen Try and soon afterwards the home side increased their lead further courtesy of a successful Alan Roberts penalty kick. However their lead increased further through an unconverted Owain Thomas try. However the castle men replied after some good work by prop Ieuan Williams who was tackled short of the line Scrum Half Carwyn Jones which was on hand to dive over for a converted try. However soon afterwards Pwllheli Seconds was awarded another penalty kick but this time to the castle men delight Alan Roberts effort sailed wide of the uprights  to leave a Half time score of Pwllheli Seconds 13 - Harlech 7

After the break the castle men upped the tempo and took the lead for the first time courtesy of a converted Ben Cartwright try and however  soon afterwards the castle men was awarded a penalty kick which was successfully kicked by Llion Jones to open the gap to four points. However in the last minute Pwllheli seconds broke the castle men heart by going over for an unconverted try courtesy of Gethin Jones for a fulltime score line of Pwllheli Seconds 18 - Harlech 17.

Meanwhile this Saturday 6 May the castle men faces a tough assignment at Wrexham with a 14-30 pm kick off.
