Harlech secured top four finish in style with Bangor victory

Harlech 26 – Bangor 0

Harlech RFC was eager to bounce back from their heavy defeat at Denbigh a fortnight ago and in the process to secure fourth place in the league. Although today’s game started slowly for both teams until Harlech finally went ahead from a converted try courtesy of Martin Williams to leave a half time score line of 7 – 0 in Harlech favour.

However, after the break Harlech upped the tempo and were rewarded when influential right winger Ynyr Roberts had an unconverted try. More points were to follow for all Harlech dominance of the game when the influential Alex Evans crossed for a converted try and Harlech was not finished yet as winger Ynyr Roberts went over for the bonus point try that was successfully converted by Aeron Griffiths. At one point of this afternoon match the Castle Men was reduced to thirteen men but Bangor cold never find any sort of way past a resurgent Harlech side who held on to secure a comprehensive fulltime score line of Harlech 26 – Bangor 0.
