Men Of Harlech Made to battle for Victory against stubborn Machynlleth

The Castlemen secured the league double over their Mid Wales rivals Machynlleth at Cae Glas, and it didn’t take long for the visitors to open their account from a converted Alex Evans try. But soon afterwards Machynlleth replied with a converted try of their own scored by winger Richard Evans. However, the score was not tied for long as Aeron Griffiths successfully kicked a penalty for the visitors to leave a half time scoreline of Machynlleth 7 - Harlech 10.
In the second half the visitors dominated the scrums and a further converted try scored by fullback Gareth Davies and one unconverted try was to follow scored by Llion Kerry before Machynlleth made it a very nervy last ten minutes for the Castlemen by scoring a consolation try converted Iwan Jones.
The Castlemen next face a North Wales Intermediate Bowl quarter final against Menai Bridge to be played at Dolgellau on Tuesday evening 8 March 2016 with a 19.30 pm kick off.
